Part of the new appeal within halo-infiniteis the way Forgedwhich although it has not yet been officially released, some players have had access to its tools and one of them even recreated PT from Silent Hill, a unique version of the video game that came out for PlayStation.
Now for all those who don’t know, PT was a free game released for Playstation 4 back in 2014, which came from an unknown developer and was a really ambiguous project, where players would wake up in a room and then get stuck in a loop, walking down the same relatively normal-looking hallway in a cozy-looking house.
But, with each cycle, things would start to change, becoming more and more sinister with a monster following the player and a fetus appearing in a bathroom, so that after a bunch of obtuse puzzles, the player would be rewarded with a cutscene. which would reveal that the game was actually the new game of Silent Hill from the developer Hideo Kojima.
This title that was considered as one of the most terrifying gaming experiences at that time and the players were delighted with it but sadly it was cancelled, but now the Youtuber Death Templar released a tutorial of a recreation of PT / Silent Hill in Halo Infinite’s Forge mode.
Which is surprisingly accurate and is a testament to the incredible building tools within the game, as it features similar walls, picture frames, the creepy awning above, and many more impressive details, to which its creator even added the puzzling moans that Lisa, the monster in the actual game, makes through an edit in the video.
What he wasn’t able to do was create the actual looping effect of walking into the basement like in the real game, but he wants to have a version that works for the full game when Forge is released, and even though there isn’t one as of yet specific release window or date for Forge in Halo Infinite, players can access the tools through leaked files and mods.
Admittedly though they can’t do much with their work at the moment as it can’t be saved to the game and loaded for other players to play, but it’s still likely to be one of the next things to come from Halo Infinite, since the cooperative campaign is coming.
