Of a total of 104 companies and institutions that registered 137 internships with a social dimension in 2022, Grupo Bimbo was the only participating organization to stand out in the five areas: Fostering the development and quality of life of employees; Speed up digitization; Strengthen suppliers; Contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals; and Promote transparency.
This feat earned the largest bakery in the world a special recognition, which was received by Armando Cantú Brito, Director of People at Grupo Bimbo in Mexico, who assured that: “at Grupo Bimbo we strive every day to adapt to the challenges of an increasingly dynamic world, and thus respond quickly to the needs of the groups with whom we interact. They inspire and drive us to work every day for the benefit of our environment, seeking the prosperity and well-being of our communities.”
Cantú remarked that since its foundation, 77 years ago, Grupo Bimbo has placed the person at the center of everything it does, and “with these practices it seeks to improve people’s quality of life, to be a force for good, and thus fulfill its purpose of feeding a better world”.
