Google teams up with Miro to offer a more interactive experience in Google Meet calls. We tell you how In this note!
Google announced his new collaboration with I lookan online company focused on the visual, with the aim of making the calls of Google Met. The intention of both companies is to improve the way of carrying out sessions focused on brainstorming and collaboration between work or study teams.
The interface is called I look board and it will appear on the same screen that things like participants and other features appear within GoogleMeet. All the designs that we have created in I lookor those that we are going to create, can be presented in the call and those that already exist can even be sent as an attachment with the link of the meeting.
A very good news is that if we are not logged into our account and we enter the meeting as a guest, we can save on our device for 24 hours. I look has paid and free accounts, so if we want what we have written down in the board that we believe is saved for longer we will have to log in to our account. Another good news is that we can see all the comments, tools, notes or templates without having to open another tab.
The administrators of Google Workspace Education will be forced to activate the function of I look, but those who do not use the educational version will already have it activated. The new feature is also available in G Suite Basic, in business accounts and in personal accounts. And for the moment those who are under 18 years and are in a family account will not be able to access the function of I look.
At the moment, the function is available in Chrome and in Microsoft Edgebut other browsers like Safari do not support this update. The tool was introduced on July 13 and only within three days of its appearance on the platform will all accounts be able to access this new function.
This is great news for those who hold work meetings and do not know how to collaborate with each other without having to stop seeing the faces of our colleagues. With the new hybrid modality that many companies began to take after the pandemic for covid, google meet listened to its users and added more than 100 new features to its service. Among these were the Q&A, the chance to raise your hand, have recreation rooms and even transcription at the time of what was being said. And thanks to all this, it became one of the most used video conferencing platforms during the pandemic. Now that people are going back to offices, Google is looking for a rather interesting way to continue to attract the market with the addition of quite practical and interesting features.
