The GetSpeed team is one of the reference structures of the Mercedes-AMG ‘racing-customer’ program in GT3. In fact, the structure based at the Nürburgring had a double program in 2021 in which he represented the Stuttgart firm both in the DTM and in the GT World Challenge Europe. In the national series he put a Mercedes-AMG GT3 on track for Arjun Maini, while in the Endurance Cup of the SRO Motorsports contest he presented a GT3 in the Pro-Am category.
Waiting for how his involvement in the DTM is in 2022, GetSpeed has substantially expanded its project in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. So much so that the structure will go from one to three cars, since GetSpeed will field one Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Pro class and another in the Silver Cup, as well as keeping the GT3 it already had in the Pro-Am class last year. The objective of the team is to fight for the title of the three categories with a list of pilots of many carats.
Although the formation has not announced the line-up of any of its three Mercedes-AMG GT3 for the season that is getting closer to starting, Team sources assure that only the GT3 squad that will compete in the Silver Cup remains to be completed. It is understood that the formation will make the final decisions on its line-up in the official test of the GT World Challenge Europe that will take place between March 7 and 8 in Paul Ricard. It is understood that several official Mercedes-AMG drivers will be embedded in the teamespecially in the Pro car.
Adam Osiekamanager of the GetSpeed team, has valued the expanded training program at the SRO Motorsports event: «I think we all agree that in the GT World Challenge Europe there are the best drivers and teams competing at an increasingly high level.. I was behind the wheel of our car at our debut in 2019 and I think everything has evolved a lot. We are very happy to continue in the championship and extend our commitment this year».
The Nürburgring-based team made its series debut at the GT World Challenge Europe in Misano, in the 2019 season.. Since then, the German formation has become one of the usual structures of the Endurance Cup while strengthening its link with the series and with Mercedes-AMG. The German structure had a 2021 season of lights and shadows with a better start than the second half of the year for its GT3 in the Pro-Am category.
