fans of The Boys? A new generation of peculiar heroes is about to arrive on your screens. After the overwhelming success of the series, comes a spin-off that promises to introduce us to new and spectacular characters. Here we present the trailer and everything you need to know about Gen V.
What is it about?
The series follows a group of superheroes the same (or more peculiar) than those seen in the original series. They attend the only university in the United States suitable for students like them. In addition to their powers, the youngsters will demonstrate their competitiveness and explore their physical and moral limits not only to compete for the best contracts, but also to complete various missions.
The story will take place at the same time as the third season of The Boys.
Cast
Gen V will feature performances by Jaz Sinclair (Sabrina’s hidden world), Lizze Broadway (bones), Chance Perdomo (After: infinite love) and Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters). Patrick Schwarzenegger (the ending list), Sean Patrick Thomas (till) and Marco Pigossi (unseen city) complete the cast.
What can we expect from the series?
In addition to chapters full of irreverence, violence, and politically incorrect humor, many hope to see something different from the original series. Having a team of “youth” in charge of the series will help to address other types of issues more appropriate to their age. Seth Rogenexecutive producer of the series, has already been able to see some material from Gene V, and this was his reaction (via Collider).
“I started watching episodes of Gen V, and it’s completely crazy. It’s just like the combination of watching superheroes in a college setting and in an incredibly subversive R-rated world, yes. There are parts of the show where Evan (Goldberg) and I were watching the cuts of the sequences, and we were like, ‘My God, what are they doing there?’” he mentioned.
If Rogen’s words turn out to be true, it’s not unreasonable to think that Gen V will surpass in terms of graphic material The Boys. Will they dare to do something even more shocking than last season’s brutal orgy?
When it premieres Gen V?
For now, the series does not have a confirmed premiere date. However, filming ended last September, so a debut is expected in 2023, before the fourth season of The Boys.

Juan Jose Cruz I am one of those who always defended Robert Pattinson as Batman and can see the same movie in the theater up to 7 times. My guilty pleasure? Low budget horror movie.
