The coronavirus has been with us for so long that it is almost difficult to remember what life was like before the pandemic. Things have improved thanks to the existence of vaccines – although there are those who believe that they turn people into zombies – but the very Arnold schwarzenegger has wanted to make it clear that this is not the time to trust and not to be selfish.
“It is better to be vaccinated and wear a mask”
The protagonist of ‘Risky Lies’ has spoken about it in a talk with the CNN journalist Bianna golodryga and the retired lieutenant colonel of the navy Alexander Vindman, insisting on the importance of wearing the mask and not cutting a hair when expressing yourself:
There is a virus and it kills people. And the only thing that prevents that from happening is getting vaccinated, wearing masks, practicing social distancing, washing your hands all the time and not just thinking that “well, that interferes with my freedom.” No, fuck your freedom. Because freedom implies obligations and responsibilities. You can’t just say “I have the right to ax, yyz”. When it affects other people, it becomes serious.
Yes, you are free to not wear a mask, but you know what? You’re an idiot if you don’t wear a mask. I don’t want to criminalize anyone, but I want to tell everyone to work together. Let’s stop fighting because there is a virus and it is better to be vaccinated and wear a mask.
Complicated to be more clear than Schwarzenegger on a subject as delicate as the one at hand. That many times our mouths fill with the freedoms we have, but we completely forget the obligations of living in society and also how our attitude affects the rest.
Unfortunately, I doubt that the words of the protagonist of the saga ‘Terminator’ are going to have much effect on the most skeptical with everything related to vaccines and masks in the United States …
