The Undersecretary of the Treasury, Gabriel Yorio, said that the government agency is seeking measures in order to enhance guarantees to increase the capacity for cheap loans in the country and thus serve those affected in Guerrero more quickly.
Treasury added that donations have already been received of one million dollars for humanitarian aid in Guerrero: 500,000 pesos from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), 250,000 dollars from the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) and 200 thousand dollars from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
Yorio highlighted that the country faces a decisive situation in which financial tools need to be transformed since the resources of multilateral banking and the public sector will not be sufficient to face the growing challenges from a regional perspective.
