The title will be separated from what was seen in the 15th installment.
Square Enix is embroidering it this June, since the constant news around Final Fantasy, including here the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth among many others have made many fans of the company stand up and applaud, especially because with the current calendar there will be a new Final Fantasy every six monthsthis being a real joy for the most fanatical.
Under this same premise, it should be noted that one of the most expected is, for obvious reasons, final fantasy xvi, the title that will mark the arrival of what many already consider (apparently in the trailers) as the most mature title in the saga, this being something that we have been able to know through all the details shown to date. Nevertheless, if you expect an open world, don’t get your hopes up.
Final Fantasy XVI would have a world of areas similar to the one we have seen in Legends Pokémon Arceus
According to what has been known through the producer of the game, Naoki Yoshida, Final Fantasy XVI will give more weight to the actionbeing so that resources have been allocated to this element of the title instead of creating a gigantic open world, which in turn would have meant having to do tasks that would not have married too much with the idea they had with the title.
Thus, development has focused on creating large areas that we can go through, this being something very similar to what we have been able to see in recent titles such as Arceus Pokémon Legends, in which there is a central area from which we can go to the rest of the game’s areas.
It should be noted that many fans may have initially thought that the game would be open world because of how it had been presented. However, despite everything, we must not forget that having an open world or not does not make a game better or worse, so we will have to trust Yoshida. For the rest, remember that Final Fantasy XVI will be released in summer 2023 for PS5 and PC.
