Expansion in South America
Oxxo has more than 20,899 units in Mexico, Chile and Colombia, Brazil and Peru. The plan for the chain also considers putting the accelerator in South America, where they have 517 units.
The manager sees space to open between 800 and 1,000 units of the chain per year, with the focus on strengthening its position in Brazil.
It will also boost its various formats such as Oxxo Smart, which is a model that operates without checkouts, with the implementation of artificial intelligence, its Bara discount store, and Pronto, which is a traditional retail store format.
Femsa reported on Friday a preliminary consolidated net income of 9,257 million pesos in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to a presentation released by the company.
In the same period of 2021, the company reported net profits of 6,717 million pesos.
