Lately, Facebook has been concerned that its top 3 applications have more communication with each other. Until now, Facebook already allowed users to post their Instagram stories and reels on Facebook.
Now, the company led by Mark Zuckerberg, has launched an option that allows users to post their Facebook updates with photos and video on their Instagram profile.
This new function saves us from going back and forth from one app to another to make our publications. On the other hand, it also allows Facebook to inject new and diversified content into Instagram, which at the moment is trying to remain a popular platform among users who now have more options of apps to choose from such as Snapchat and Tik Tok.
This new feature, which is not yet formally announced by the company, will begin rolling out earlier this month. At the moment, this test is limited to a small group of users who already have their accounts (commercial or creator) linked on Instagram.
How to activate it?
If at any point this new feature is activated for your account, you will see the feature in the Facebook compose box where posts are created.
Simply by clicking on it and activating it, it would allow that content to be shared at the same time on both social networks without having to go to Instagram to repeat the same process.
This new feature will allow you to change the default values in your account settings. Simply visit the linked “Account Center” and from there the option to automatically share all Facebook posts on Instagram will be activated, as well as automatically share Facebook Stories with Instagram Stories.
With this new function, individual photos, individual videos or albums of several photos can be published up to 10 photos. Other formats such as GIFs, polls, photo albums with more than 10 photos, and text-only posts will not be allowed for cross-posting at this time.
