A test proves the “catastrophic” of third-party repair for the iPhone 13!

Regarding these challenges, from the YouTube channel Phone Repair Guru, they confirm that Face ID stops working when changing the screen of the iPhone 13, for an unofficial one.
Although Apple has always expressed the importance of repairing any damage to devices with authorized agents, it is not always the most comfortable option for the pocket. Content creator Phone Repair Guru has shown in a new video that while some display components are easier to replace, when it comes to the display the only option that doesn’t sacrifice component quality, is to accept Apple’s recommendation.
Face ID stops working when screen is not repaired by Apple
Specifically, the video posted from the Phone Repair Guru, demonstrates that when you replace the microphone, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor on the iPhone 13, everything works as expected. But When replacing the iPhone 13 screen with a new one that is not original, the iPhone recognizes it and loses Face ID support.
Finally, Phone Repair Guru explains that there are some solutions, such as transferring some chips to the new screen, but most repair shops do not do it because it is “too fancy”. But for now, we can only wait and see if Apple will update the iPhone 13 to make it easier for third-party repair centers to replace the iPhone screen or choose to be even more careful with the new devices released by Apple.
