The 2022 Formula 1 preseason already has official dates for the six test days that will be held in two different locations: Barcelona and Bahrain. Only the last one will have an audience and television broadcast.
As much as Liberty Media claims to care about fans, at times like this it’s hard to see it put into action. And it is that in the preseason with greater interest in recent years, the Formula 1 has decided that the first three days held in Barcelona from February 23 to 25 there will be no television coverage or public in the stands.
The official confirmation of this date, together with that of the following three test days in Bahrain between March 10 and 12, certifies this. This is a blow to the fans of the area who usually go to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to see first-hand the new cars and their drivers.

But it is also that they will not be able to see it on television either, because the category wants to treat these first days as if it were a shakedown or filming day.
Thus, it will be up to the teams to decide which images they share through social networks, although the written and digital media will also be present to tell what happens on the circuit. Similarly, there will also be no live time table available and only times recorded at the end of the day will be provided.
On the contrary, in Bahrain will return to the usual format of recent years, with all kinds of information, public and live television coverage through the official Formula 1 media. This three-day test will be held a week before the start of the competition in that same location between March 18 and 20.
