Fortnite has been out of the App Store for over a year, and it doesn’t look like it’s coming back anytime soon.
It has been a long time, almost a year, since Epic bypassed the rules of the App Store and implemented its own payment system in Fortnite for iPhone. Apple’s response was sudden, removing Fortnite from the App Store. This has led to a lawsuit in the United States, and has initiated a reform worldwide on the control that both Apple and Google have in their stores.
South Korea has been one of the first countries to draft legislation that was passed a few days ago. Through this law, Apple and Google are required to offer alternative payment methods in their app stores, just what Epic did in Fortnite.
Due to this law, Epic has officially requested Apple to restore its developer account for Fortnite to return to the Apple Store in Korea., with your own payment method.
Epic has asked Apple to restore our Fortnite developer account. Epic intends to re-release Fortnite on iOS in Korea offering both Epic payment and Apple payment side-by-side in compliance with the new Korean law.

Apple refuses to return Fortnite to the App Store
Apple, what it is not at all in accordance with the regulations recently approved in Korea, claiming it would “put users at risk of fraud and undermine privacy protections,” he has responded to Fortnite forcefully.
According to a statement that Apple has given to MacRumors, they are not returning Fortnite to the App Store at the moment:
As we’ve said all along, we’d appreciate Epic’s return to the App Store if they agree to play by the same rules as everyone else. Epic has admitted breach of contract and as of now, there is no legitimate basis for reinstating your developer account.
Apple’s stance remains tough and defends its interests. It is true that changes are coming to the App Store, and the company will probably be more flexible with payments, but Epic will probably be the last to take advantage of these developments.
