As is well known, one of the greatest effects of the pandemic was unemployment, with young people suffering the most from it. According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), in a period between March and April 2020, an estimated 12.5 million jobs were lost.
In addition, according to the agency, employees between the ages of 15 and 34 lost, together, a total of 242,000 jobs in a period between March 2020 and May 2021.
In this sense, for a large number of people, the response to the employment crisis generated by the pandemic fell on entrepreneurship, either as content creators on different digital platforms or even by opening their own businesses.
In this context, it is worth mentioning a recent study carried out by Ipsos, which reveals that, in Mexico, 53 percent of people stated that they had a real interest in forging their own project.
On many occasions, it doesn’t matter if you have a university degree or not, because today’s labor market is so competitive and uneven that, according to the popular expression, “you have to chambear Whatever”.
On the other hand, there are cases in which those who enjoy having university studies on their curriculum, do not usually practice their profession and, on the contrary, decide to start their own business.
The latter is what has happened with a young man who registers as an engineer and who, through TikTok, reveals that he made the decision to open a tortilla business, where he creates products inspired by some of his favorite animated series and anime characters. , like ‘Dragon Ball’, to mention an example.

‘Dragon Ball’, as with other animated series, has a large audience in several countries, Mexico included. In fact, the anime of Akira Toriyama It is one of the best sellers in the world, only surpassed by One Piece. In this sense, Mexico is one of the main consumers of anime worldwide.
On the other hand, the series starring “Goku” has been the incentive for various brands to develop strategies in order to position themselves in a very broad and increasingly large market. Recently, the new line of Swatch watches inspired by the anime characters was unveiled.
