Earl Bamber Motorsport is set to race two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs at the 74th Spa 24 Hours. Both of the EBM GT3s will be entered in the Pro-Am class and feature a very interesting driver line-up as there are various stories and links that intertwine in each of these cars. The first of the EBM 911s will not race under the team name but under the Singha Racing Team TP12 bannera team already present together with EBM in the 1,000 km of Paul Ricard.
Singha Racing Team TP12 by EBM will compete with the #39 Porsche and a lineup of drivers in which the figure of the team manager himself stands out. Earl Bamber, double winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the German brand, will get into this Porsche to team up with three non-professional drivers. Bamber’s companions will be Piti Todd Bhirombhakdi -Bronze pilot-, Tanart Sathienthirakul -Silver- and Christophe Hamon -Bronze-. As is logical, Bamber himself will have to ‘pull’ the team given his experience.
Christopher Hamon is perhaps the most talented and experienced pilot leaving Bamber aside. He has a certain background and a great ambition that leads him to dream of achieving the class victory in Spa with Earl Bamber: «Participating in the 24 Hours of Spa is a dream come truewithout a doubt. To do it while competing with a great champion like Earl Bamber is an extreme privilege.. I have before me an exceptional opportunity that I do not want to miss. You have to take advantage of it.”
The second Porsche 911 GT3 R has been registered as EBM and will have Adrian D’Silva as main driver. Next to him will be the duo formed by Stephen and Brenton Grovefather and son and owners of the Grove Racing team of Australian V8 Supercars. Complete the lineup of this GT3 the young Matthew Payne, who received a scholarship as a junior driver from Grove Racing and who was already present at the 12 Hours of Mugello and at the 1,000 km of Paul Ricard with a Porsche. While the Groves are ‘Silver’ and ‘Bronze’ drivers respectively, Payne is rated ‘Silver’.
Adrian D Silva He has also valued his presence at the 24 Hours of Spa with the EBM team: “I am delighted to return to the 24 Hours of Spa for this year’s edition. I am looking forward to working with my teammates. I think that in general terms there is a good line-up within the team, while Personally, I have much more experience. with the car I had a year ago. I am very excited to return to Spa for another season.”
