Some of the reactions of users to his statements were the following:
Totally agree Alexander. The fact that we do not agree with something, for whatever valid reasons, does not mean that it should be penalized before the law. The decriminalization of abortion does not encourage abortion, what is more, the rate of abortions in the US has been declining”.
“I think it’s not a religious or medical issue, it’s defending the value of life.”
“But Federico, what exactly is life? A cell with a complete genome? A newly formed zygote? A cancerous tumor?

The published decision revokes both the sentence known as “Roe versus Wade”agreed upon 49 years ago, which protected the right to abortion throughout the country, like another resolution from 1992, “Planned Parenthood versus Casey”, which reaffirmed such protection but allowed states to establish regulations on the process.

After the decision made by the US government, a wave of covers alluding to the subject were present. However, the most commented is that of the French newspaper liberationwhich he has published in his ‘first‘ an illustration of the cartoonist Coconutwhich also collaborates with the satirical magazine charlie hebdo.
In it we see a United States flag in which the stars have been replaced by hangers (symbol of clandestine abortion) and the bars are the trail of blood that comes out of the vaginas of women who have been left unprotected.
Under the illustration you can read: “Abortion: Black Friday”.
