DC announces Jurassic League, a 6-issue limited series featuring the Justice League like you’ve never seen it… like dinosaurs.
You know the stories: a baby escapes the destruction of its home planet and is deposited on Earth to be raised by human parents. A goddess from a lost city defends the truth. A theropod dresses itself in the face of a bat to strike fear into the hearts of the wicked. This heroic trinity, along with a league of other superpowered dinosaurs, join forces to save a prehistoric Earth from the sinister machinations of Darkseid.
Wait to? Okay, you may not know the story. So join us and witness a new – yet older than time – adventure and experience The Jurassic League like you’ve never seen it before.
“Jurassic League is everything I want to draw: dinos and epic fights,” said writer and artist Juan Gedeon. “My own version of a 90s cartoon or video game. They will have a story about survival, unity and hope where the strong protect the weak in a world where danger lurks around every corner.”
Meet The Jurassic League
Jurassic League is a six-issue limited series written by Daniel Warren Johnson (WONDER WOMAN: DEAD EARTH) and Juan Gedeon (PENNYWORTH) that will launch on May 10, 2022 in the United States and on a date to be announced in Mexico. Gideon is also handling the interior art, while Johnson will provide the main cover art for all six issues.
“It has been an absolute pleasure to join Juan Gedeon in creating a new world for DC, teeming with dinos, cavemen and extinction-level events,” said writer and cover artist Daniel Warren Johnson. “Batsuar locks a dilophosaur from the Joker, you’re welcome!”
“There are no words to express how excited I am for this job,” said DC Senior Editor Katie Kubert. “As a lifelong dinosaur lover, and as a dinosaur tour guide and fossil preparer for two of the most prestigious natural history museums, this book touches me to the heart and soul of science. When Juan came to me with the idea, and Daniel Warren Johnson doubled down on it, I knew we had something truly special and I can’t wait for the fans to find out about it.”
