After going through the hell of Anor Londo and taking down Sif, we come to the final bars of this guide to the Dark Souls no-hit: the souls that we must offer to the vessel. Among these souls is that of Nito and the 4 Kings, and overcoming them without being beaten is going to be a tough nut to crack.
To get here you had to kill the Gargoyles, have passed Sen’s Fortress and killed Ornstein and Smough. But there is still a long way to go to Gwyn.
Dark Souls No-Hit Guide: Nito and the 4 Kings
Catacombs
After killing Sif, bone back. Raise the Dexterity to 30 and Strength to 27. Go to the Fire Link Shrine, put the Vessel, and equip the blacksmith’s hammer. Go down the graveyard, and in the catacombs lure the first enemy up the stairs. Kill him and advance until you cross a door. On the left there is an enemy, kill him on the spot.
Drop down, head down the hall and roll into the hole in the left wall. VERY BEWARE of the pyromancer, because you can crack a fireball in the blink of an eye. Kill him and light the bonfire. Equip the Sleeping Dragon ring, Activate the mechanism and go outside. Stand at the point you see in the image below and kill the pyromancer (he will not be able to hit you, the stone will stop his magic).
Dispatch the rest of the skeletons (draw them with the bow) and place yourself at the point you see under these lines.
Take off the Dragon RingShoot arrows at the wall in front of you to attract the attention of the skeletons and check that there are no explosive skulls near the ledge just below. When the skeletons are distracted, put on the dragon’s ring, take off the ninja’s, and roll onto the platform below. Roll back to the platform below (right where spikes are sticking out) to get to a safe area.
Drink an estus and look over the edge of the safe zone (in the direction of the Catacomb of Molinete) to see a skeleton wheel on a small balcony. Kill it with a jump attack and repeat the same process with the skeleton wheel below (if there is more than one skeleton you can use the bombs you got at the beginning of the run, although you should ALWAYS keep 2 pumps).
With the path clear, go to Molinete. Before jumping, take life with the Symbol of Greed until you have the one you see in the image. DON’T SKIP THE KINEMATICS. At the end of the cinematic, he begins to press the roll forward button so that the character does not make the animation of landing on the ground. Give Pinwheel a couple of hits with the hammer and it should fall easily.
Rings of Nito and Nito
Go up until you see the little lights on the ground. The thing is going to be quite dark, so be very careful. Cross the bridge, stick to the wall and prepare to roll the giant skeleton. Here we come to an important point: you have to drop down at the point you see in the image, and right after roll to the right.
As soon as you reach the platform with the object, roll forward once more, go straight ahead and go down the stairs to light the bonfire. Once it’s on, go up the ladder, move forward until you find Patches, and let him push you.
Take the three objects, throw back bone and Teleport to the Fire Link Shrine. Let’s go back to the tutorial, and the method is simple: use the elevator that leads to the church of the parish of the undead, and jump through the open hole. Stand in front of the pivot that connects to the collapsed tower, roll forward and climb the tower to the crow’s nest. Roll into a ball and wait for him to catch you.
In the tutorial, equip yourself with the Falcon Ring and kill the hollows from a distance. Once done, go left after the first arc to meet the Snuggly’s nest. In the center of the nest drop the Lantern Skull that you have obtained in the Tomb of the Giants, exit the game, enter again and get the fog ring.
Go back to the Tomb of the Giants, equip the Ring of Mist and the Sleeping Dragon and advance until you find the wall. Advance down the left glued to the wallRoll as soon as you see / hear the skeleton dog and go through the fog.
As soon as you pass it, it advances until it is perpendicular (it is very important that it is perpendicular) with the object on the left. As soon as you see the 90º angle, turn left and run towards the object, rolling at the end to break the skeleton on the ground.
Drop in front, attentive to the ground to avoid silly falls and go straight ahead (without falling, though) until you pass the stubborn skeleton on the right (look down before throwing yourself). You will fall to another platform, and from there you can drop down on the path that leads to Nito.
Equip your halberd, kill the titanite lizard and passes by the right of the two skeleton piles. Pass between the two giant skeletons (watch out for possible attacks) and ignore all the Pinwheels. Be careful with the last one, because if you break the bones under his feet he can stagnate and give you a hit.
Enter through the fog, fall from the right now face Nito. When he spikes against the ground, raise the spear with the cover button (the one to raise the shield, go). With this, the spear will not hit you. If you see that it has been blocked by the skeletons, you will have to use bone back and return to the fight.
If all goes well, it will get closer to you. His movements are very slow, try to punish him when he hits the ground with his sword, because he’s going to be a bit stunned. Do not hit him from behind (the blows miss against his cape) and when he makes the area move away a bit, always being careful not to catch the aggro of the combat skeletons.
4 Kings
From here on the order does not matter a bit, but here we will start with the 4 Kings. Rest at the stake and raise your stamina to 22, strength to 30 and dexterity to 32. On the way to the elevator to Nuevo Londo, we take Lautrec’s objects (5 humanities and the ring of favor and protection).
On New Londo, we go down until we reach the first wooden bridge. Break the pot to get 2 temporary curses. Advance until you reach the first ghost, which we will circumvent by going to the right. Go up the stairs to the point that you will see in the image, at which point we will use the passing curse.
Cross the first bridge attached to the wall on the right to avoid scares, and kill with a halberd run stroke to the ghost blocking the door. Go down the stairs stuck against the left wall, moving VERY slowly (taking about 5-6 seconds to lower the total) for the aggro of the ghosts to go crazy.
If you have done well you should not have no enemy in the area, Go through the mist, run past the walkway and stand on the stairs in the image below. If you have done well, no ghost will be able to hit you.
From these stairs, kill the NPC at the top of the building with arrows. Upon death, he will give you an important key. Now, watch that the ghost that is patrolling the exterior of the building is not (take your time to check) and enter the building. Go down the stairs and go back to the stairs in the picture above. Wait for the ghosts to come out of the wall and, now yes, run down the stairs to pass the area safely.
Get to the door at the end, use the seal key and activate the mechanism to empty Nuevo Londo. Before going for the 4 Kings, let’s make sure that there are no ghosts that can bother us with the run. From the place you see in the image below you will see 3 ghosts patrol. Be patient and kill all three (one comes out of the dome in the background, another is in the lower left part of the dome, and the third is attached to the tower on the left).
Once dead, heal your whole life with estus and jump onto the platform below to go through the mist. Be VERY careful with the black knight that is chasing you, and roll to the left as soon as you enter the tower of the 4 Kings to avoid being scared.
Once in a safe place, kill yourself with the Symbol of Greed, equip the Blacksmith’s Hammer, the Ring of Red Tears and the Pact of Artorias to face the 4 Kings. Get on the last platform as you see in the image before jumping into the void.
Once you drop down, run forward until the first king is spawned. If you have bad luck, it will throw you a wave that follows you, and that you are going to have to dodge. The best thing in these cases is to distance yourself and be aware of the king’s attacks.
All the king’s attacks are punishable except the explosion. If you insert the cut diagonally or horizontally, be careful, because you can continue it with a second cut. Every time you kill a king, try to return to the center (having a reference point is important) to quickly get closer to the one that appears. As soon as you see him, RUN to him to avoid being thrown by the wave.
You can hit the kings even when they have no life left to take something else off the global bar. If you do, you only have to kill 3 kings instead of 4.
