There is life after 007! After saying goodbye to his most iconic role, Daniel Craig talks about what is coming in his career: the sequel to Knives Out.
Leaving a place where you have been for years is never easy. A witness to this is Daniel Craig, the actor who gave life to James bond in the last 15 years. After starring in five films as the famous agent 007, the interpreter said goodbye to the character. However, life goes on and his career continues. Thus, being the highest paid celebrity of Hollywood, is already preparing for the next projects, one of which stands out in particular.
This is the sequel to Knives Out (Daggers in the back on Spain and Between knives and secrets on Latin America). After the rights to the film were transferred to Netflix, the company began the process for Rian Johnson to continue as director and make the film a franchise. The saga, which follows the adventures of the detective’s cases Benoit blanc, has already finished filming its second part and Craig, who plays the investigator, commented on it.
“I am very lucky to have Rian [Johnson] in my life. He is a great writer. That script came through and I was literally like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ I couldn’t believe he wanted me to play it. He was saying, “He says with a southern accent that you went here. Seriously? ‘And he says,’ Yes? ‘
We just finished the second one, literally weeks ago. They just finished in Serbia. Dare I say it is better? We’ll see. I don’t want to tempt fate. It is different and that is the amazing thing. It remains a Benoit Blanc mystery, but it is very different. I am very excited about it.”.
Now, like the first, the continuation will have a great cast, but totally renewed. Dave Bautista, Kate hudson and Edward Norton are some of the signings. There is no release date yet, but it is expected to hit Netflix in 2022.
