What you should keep in mind
The answering service It is easy to use and configure, it is also free in almost all the circumstances in which we can use it, but it has some peculiarities. For example, you can save the messages in the memory of the answering machine, but Finetwork does not undertake to keep the message available for more than 15 days.
Price
When you have it activated and you cannot answer a call, it will be diverted to the answering machine so that you can listen to the message when you are available, this service is gratuitous, like calls to listen to messages. In addition, you will not have any extra cost if you deactivate it and reactivate it as many times as you need, it is a service that can only be used in specific circumstances.
Roaming
The price of the voicemail service is gratuitous, as well as the price of the calls to the service to listen to the messages that they have been able to leave us as long as we are calling within any country of the European Economic Area (EEA). If you access your answering machine from any other country outside the EEA, the price of the call will be like that of any roaming call according to the corresponding rate.
Voicemail settings
The answering machine is a very basic service that does not require advanced configuration. What we need to know is how turn it on and off and how to access messages.
How to activate and deactivate
The fastest way to activate or deactivate the answering machine is to do it through the short codes. We enter these codes as if we were going to make a call and press the call key, then a confirmation message will appear on the screen. The shortcodes are these:
- Activate voicemail: * 147 # + Call key.
- Deactivate voicemail: * 147 * 0 # + Call key.
- Deactivate all call diversions, including answering machine: ## 02 # + Call key.
You can also access the Fi Client Area from the website or from the company’s official application, available for Android and iOS. You will only have to access the Voicemail section and activate the corresponding box.
How to listen to the messages
To listen to the messages that may have been left on the answering machine you will only have to call 2242 (toll free). It is a direct code to access the answering service from any country in the European Economic Area, the call will have no cost in any case.
Other complementary services
If we are waiting for an important call, we can activate the voice mailbox, but if we need to attend it, we may also be interested in using the service of call waiting or call forwarding.
Call Forwarding
This service consists of “transferring” the calls you receive to another telephone line, which can be a Finetwork number or any other operator. Service activation is free, but we must bear in mind that all diversions made when we receive a call are considered as a call made. In this case, the answering machine will be activated only in cases where the call is not diverted.
In the case of Finetwork all rates have unlimited calls, so there will be no cost to forwarding calls to numbers that belong to the European Economic Area. To activate and deactivate call forwarding you must use these shortcodes:
- Activate forwarding: **[tipo de desvío]*[Nº al que desviar]# + Call key. You must substitute [Tipo de desvío] by 21 to divert all calls, 61 to divert unanswered calls, 62 to divert calls when the phone is off or out of coverage and 67 when the line is busy.
- Deactivate forwarding: ##[Tipo de desvío]# + Call key.
- Check the diversion: * #[Tipo de desvío]# + Call key.
Call waiting
Call waiting allows you answer and ignore incoming calls while you are on an active call at the same time. When you are talking to someone you will hear a beep, if you look at the screen you will see that they are calling you and the number or name of the person. In that case, you can put the call on hold, hang up or hang up the current call to answer the new one.
This service is free and to activate it you just have to type in the call menu * 43 # and call key. In this way, the voicemail will not skip and you will be able to answer the call at the moment.
