Street Fighter VI will be Capcom’s most prominent game at the Japanese fair.
To make the return from vacation more bearable and start the next year with enthusiasm, the end of summer is usually a time of novelties in the video game industry thanks to Gamescom, the most important fair in Europe, and the Tokyo Game Showthe most important industry event in Japan. Capcom has been one of the first Japanese companies to announce its assistance to the Tokyo Game Show and set a date for its next events, in the plural.
The Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 15 to 18 and Capcom has announced that it will be held two events that will be broadcast live. The first of them will be a general event about news from Capcom and its franchises, while the second will be entirely dedicated to Street Fighter VI.
The two two Capcom events at the Tokyo Game Show will take place on September 15 and 16:
- Capcom Online Program (September 15, 4:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time)
- Street Fighter 6 Special Program (September 16, 5:00 p.m. Spanish peninsular time)
Get ready for “the latest capcom news on our pre-recorded stream” and then check out “all the latest Street Fighter 6 updates,” advertise the Japanese company. At the moment it is not clear which games will star in the first day of news, but it is expected that we will see news of Exoprimal and perhaps the Resident Evil Village DLC that arrives in October. For example, news from other projects such as Pragmata is not expected, although you never know.
First comes Gamescom 2022
Although the Tokyo Game Show catches us a bit far and usually there are more novelties aimed at the Japanese and Asian market in general, from time to time there are also novelties for the West. However, before its opening comes the Gamescom 2022celebrated again in Cologne, Germany, with a new Opening Night Live presented by Geoff Keighley loaded with news. There will be “great surprises and unexpected announcements”, advances the presenter.
