For few it is surprising that the stores are ahead (sometimes too much) to the special dates. Even though he Day of the Dead is celebrated until November 1 and 2, customers can now buy bread of the dead from costco and Sam’s Club. However, many fear that resellers will hoard the pieces and sell out in record time, as has happened in other seasons.
A few days ago, both chains specialized in wholesale sales announced that traditional Mexican breads were now available. The news received mixed reactions, since many are excited because they wait all year for this, but the controversy over resale was also revived.
“I would like to, but thinking that I have to train to be able to buy made me want to buy”, “Everything is fine, except that we are going to have to go at 8 am to get something” and “It’s not fair, I will never try it for fault of the resellers”, are some comments that are read on social networks.
Will they limit the sale of Costco’s bread of the dead?
It should be remembered that a couple of weeks ago, Costco announced restrictions on the purchase of its cakes and pies. In an effort to ensure more people have access to these products, the chain implemented a limit on the number of pieces that can be purchased from five to just two per customer or membership.
While the move could provide relief to members who only want to take out for personal consumption, it also represents a blow to entrepreneurs who depend on the resale of these biscuits to generate income.
For its part, Sam’s Club responded to Costco’s decision, saying they would not limit the sale of pies and pies. Now, their announcement was accompanied by a message that sounds indirect: “Choose your favorite pan de muerte at Sam’s Club and take as many as you want,” they wrote, making it clear that members can buy without restrictions.
So far, Costco hasn’t clarified whether the pizza limit will also apply to its pan de muerto. When Internet users ask about it on social networks, the company responds that they should check in each branch if they have any restrictions on the product.
How much does pan de muerte cost at Costo and Sam’s Club?
