The filming of Black Panther 2 in Puerto Rico coincides with the presence of Tenoch Huerta in that country and fuels the rumors about Namor.
Black Panther 2 is being shot in Puerto Rico, the same country in which the actor Tenoch Huerta has been seen, which has fueled the rumor about the possible debut of the Mexican as Namor in this Marvel Studios film.
According to images and a video presented by The Cosmic Circus, after locations in Atlanta, Brunswick or Massachusetts, the production is in Puerto Rico to record what appears to be a flashback scene.
The outlet recalls that Marvel Studios has filmed in Puerto Rico on previous occasions, such as Captain America: Civil War. Later it details that “it is being filmed inside or around the old Ritz Carlton Hotel and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2017, Puerto Rico was hit by two hurricanes (Irma and Maria) in a row, and the damage was extensive throughout the island. As a consequence, this magnificent hotel was closed as the interior structure had sustained considerable damage.”
This is the key that could connect us with Atlantis, the kingdom of Namor: “We have learned that, since the end of February, Marvel, in coordination with local production companies in Puerto Rico, has been working hard, full time, building their scenarios and using the interior of the old hotel and casino. During the hotel’s heyday, the interior felt like it was inside a royal palace, with chandeliers decorating the main lobby and fascinating architecture.”
Thanks to the networks, the rumor of Tenoch Huerta as Namor in Black Panther 2 is fueled
Since November 2020, there was talk of the incorporation of Tenoch Huerta to Black Panther 2, and in June 2021 it transpired that the character to interpret would be Namor. And although he has not been made official as such, the actor recently shared an image on his Instagram where he implies that he is in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Internet sleuths immediately fueled the rumor that places him as Namor in Black Panther 2.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is directed by Ryan Coogler, and will see the return of Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o), Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), and M’Baku (Winston Duke). There’s also talk of the MCU debut of Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and RiRi Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne).
