CD Projekt RED’s latest game is getting a new lease of life after undergoing one of the biggest controversies in recent years. Today we want to review with you the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods, in celebration not only of the greater support for them that has been achieved with the arrival of Redmod, the new tool that promises to greatly facilitate the work of mod creators and increase the possibilities for create new content that already existed, but also because of the incredible success of Edgerunners.
The Netflix series has catapulted the popularity of the game to levels that exceed even the time of its release, currently sitting on the top of the most played titles on Steam, and of course, it has inspired many modders to create new content based on Edgerunners, from incorporating characters from the anime to the title, to even creating a new radio station with the soundtrack of the series. We are not going to focus today on these Edgerunners mods, but we are going to review what are, for us, the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods, available (unfortunately) only in the PC version.
JB – TPP MOD WIP third person
Don’t let the strange name scare you, this mod adds the ability to use a third person camera and it is, without a doubt, one of the best additions to the game. In a similar way to what happens in other titles, such as Skyrim or Fallout 3 and 4, we can switch between the first and third person perspective on the fly by pressing a button, however, we must bear in mind that it is not an official implementation, and which has quite a few limitations. Mainly, we can’t (or rather, we shouldn’t, as it doesn’t work properly) use the third person camera while holding weapons or in cut-scenes.
There may also be some other bugs that will be ironed out over time (the mod is still being updated on a regular basis), but overall we have been very impressed with the quality and smooth running of this mod. The animations it uses are very successful and we recommend it to all of you who, like us, have missed being able to see your character’s design more often.
The mod is being developed by sarunama and you can download it through its link at nexus mods.
Let There Be Flight
Have you ever seen Blade Runner, or the flying ships themselves that briefly appear in Cyberpunk itself, and wondered how cool it would be to have a flying vehicle at your very disposal? This mod does just that, and with a quality that almost makes it feel like an official addition to the game.
Developed by jackhumbert, Let There Be Flight allows you to convert any of the cars in the game into a flying ship. With the simple press of a key, the wheels of our car will transform into propellers that will allow us to fly over the skyscrapers of Night City and allow us to see the city like never before. It has several configurable options and various flight modes to select, some more complex (and difficult to use) and others simpler and more manageable.
You can download it through Nexus Mods.
Subway System
Do you remember how in one of the first trailers of the game we were shown V and an impressive perspective of Night City through his subway? This is one of the many features that, although it was planned for the title, was finally discarded, and the only thing that remains of it are some fast travel points in the different entrances of what should have been a huge public transport network that would go all over the city. Now with this mod this functionality has been restored in an incredibly polished way.
Created by NexusGuy999, the Metro System incorporates player-usable subway stations. We will be able to take meters throughout the entire city and we will travel the entire route (with the possibility of seeing it even in the third person) in a realistic way, even having to pay attention to where to take each meter and which one takes us exactly to our destination, since several Different lines pass through the same stops. A great alternative to fast travel. The only drawback that we have found is that there are never any type of NPCs inside the subway, which breaks the immersion of the system a bit. Still, we consider it a more than recommended mod.

StreetStyle – Immersive Fashion System
Four fashion styles reign in Night City during the year 2077: Entropism, Kitsch, Neomilitarism and Neokitsch. One of the trailers prior to the release of the title made a big deal out of the importance of style in the game, but sadly, it’s another one of those things that ended up not being relevant to the game. The styles exist, and can be seen well represented by the NPCs in the game, but for our character it has little more importance than equipping those objects with better statistics.
This mod, developed by TilW, provides a solution to that, being one of the fan-created content additions that most organically feeds into the title’s gameplay. With this mod, each item of clothing found in Night City will be part of one of the 4 Night City fashion styles, and we’ll receive boosts to our stats and dialogue decisions based on the style of clothing we’re wearing (and how many items we wear). of the same style we have equipped), in a similar way to what happens in the Fallout saga.

Vehicle Combat
If the title does not make it entirely clear to you, this mod allows you to fight from vehicles. In this way, we will be able to take out our weapon of preference while we are riding a car or a motorcycle and finish off any enemy that is bothering us without having to stop driving. But this is not all, probably the biggest change is that this mod remodels the entire police system from head to toe, forcing them to spawn behind V instead of spawning in cars, allowing chases to ensue. In addition, enemies will be able to request reinforcements from members of their faction. This mod created by Scissors123454321 adds a lot of depth to the game’s encounters and combat outside of missions, which is why we recommend it.

Best Cyberpunk 2077 Mods
These are what we consider to be the best Cyberpunk 2077 mods, mainly because they bring very noticeable changes to the way the entire game works, adding interesting mechanics that fit perfectly with the rest of the title. But even so, we recommend you take a tour of Nexus Mods and take a look to the endless number of smaller scale mods you can findwhich can allow you to modify your character to levels much higher than those of the vanilla title, and many other additions that may be of interest to you.
