The Halo series premiere is just under a month away!
For many, many years, Steven Spielberg has been notably engaged in producing the Halo adaptation. which will finally arrive on Paramount+ at the end of March. Although at one point, from when its release was first announced until now, it may have seemed like the adaptation had been cancelled, the truth is that the project is still ongoing, and Spielberg has really been involved. How much has he participated? According to a new interview, it seems that Spielberg was on top of just about everything, from the scripts to the show’s directors to the cast, among many other details.
“We treat it like it’s a legacy project from Steven,” Halo executive producer Darryl Frank recently told Total Film during the interview. He continued: “He was the godfather in terms of reading all the scripts, helping to choose the showrunners, the writers, the director, the cast, the production design and the visual effects – every aspect was looked at by him. “.
It’s hard to make a judgment about what the final product is right now, but somehow Paramount seems to have faith in it. Although Showtime’s move to Paramount+ might have been seen as a blow to the upcoming adaptation by some, It has already been announced that Halo will receive a second season on the streaming service.
“HALO is a world-building and expansion opportunity for Paramount+, and we’re thrilled to bring fans a second season before launching the series next month,” said Tanya Giles, director of programming for Paramount+, referring to the recent announcement that the series had already been picked up for a second season. “HALO will deliver an exciting journey for fans of the game and non-fans alike, marrying stunning visuals with a deeper look into the personal stories behind these iconic characters, all framed in a battle epic for the future of humanity”.
As we have previously discussed, the next Halo television series will premiere on Paramount+ on March 24.
