It seems that Battlefield 2042 won’t allow players to disable bots. Electronic Arts and DICE announced a new component for Battlefield 2042 a few weeks ago, which was met with a mixed reaction from the game community. Specifically, the title will include AI-controlled characters, or bots, to help fill the servers to maximum capacity. And although some wondered if this function could be deactivated, those responsible for DICE have confirmed that it will not be the case.
In a new blog on EA’s website, the use of bots in Battlefield 2042 has been broken down in more detail. The issue of disabling bots was raised, to which DICE made it clear that it is not something that players can enable or disable as they please.

Battlefield 2042 won’t allow players to disable bots
Although the fact that Battlefield 2042 will not allow players to disable bots may sound like a bad thing if you are someone who prefers not to play with bots, there is an additional caveat. Battlefield 2042 will only allow the presence of a certain number of bots in the same game. Thus, it will not be possible for a game to contain more bots than real players. Players will always have priority in matchmaking over AI.

DICE stated that the inclusion of bots in Battlefield 2042 will allow you to enter games faster than normal, to the extent that you will not have to wait for the room to fill up with enough players, which in the case of this game, is quite large, with 128 simultaneous players.
