It was in the year 2020 that Ubisoft announced that it was working on new virtual reality games that would expand the Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell franchises. Although they were intended to be exclusive to Meta devices, known in their day as Oculus, the lack of news could change the company’s plans, so we will have to wait for new details of the projects. However, a leak would have offered the first details of Assassin’s Creed VRwhich aims to have the name of Assassin’s Creed Nexus.
Tom Henderson, who has leaked numerous details of Ubisoft’s assassin saga, has advanced that Assassin’s Creed Nexus will bring back several protagonists of the sagaincluding the most mythical (Ezio from Assassin’s Creed 2, Connor and Hayham from Assassin’s Creed 3, and Cassandra from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey). Each character will be playable at different levels, as the game will feature various historical scenarios to explain the context of each story.
According to “the leak”, which should be taken with tweezers as it could be wrong, Assassin’s Creed’s jump to virtual reality would take place through a total of 16 missions along with a tutorial. The game’s missions would include a variety of mechanics: from combat, through moments of stealth and/or robbery, climbing and more. It is also revealed that it can be played with point movement and teleportation or using the analog sticks of the controls, or a combination of both.
Everything indicates that Henderson has offered considerable information to take into account given his prestige and the gross content of his leak, even mentioning that Assassin’s Creed Nexus will have a minigame to pick locks in which players will have various opportunities to open chests and doors for rewards during missions.
Unfortunately, it is currently unknown when official news of Assassin’s Creed Nexus will be offered, which also does not have a launch window, although Henderson mentions that will be over the next 12 months. Recently, Assassin’s Creed plans for the next few years were rumored.
