As Dusk Falls, the game from the independent studio Interior/Night presented at the Xbox Showcase in summer 2020 as an Xbox exclusive on consoles, it would be close to its final release. At least that’s what it seems to indicate ESRB game registration, the European age regulation body. This is one of the last steps in publishing a game, so his arrival could be a matter of just a few months.
As can be seen in the ESRB website As Dusk Falls already has its own product sheet, which reveals many new details about this narrative adventure. Among other things, it will be a game of M rating for ages 17+ and that it will contain “Blood, strong language, suggestive themes, drug and alcohol use, and violence.”
“This is a narrative adventure game where players follow Vince Walker and Jay Holt and their family stories in Arizona during the 1990s. As players progress through each family’s story, they are presented with various dialogue and action options that influence the outcome/progress of the story.
In a little more detail, the agency points out that some player options can lead to acts of violence such as “an officer shot dead by an armed man, a character shot in the head by a police sniper, a strangled character or a man hanging from a rope. It also highlights gunshots, bloodstains, sexual material in the form of “a foot fetish magazine, sexual jokes or a sequence in which moans are heard inside a room.” Drug use is depicted in characters “smoking marijuana and inhaling aerosol vapors to get high or a teenager drinking beer.” Highlight swear words like “f**k” and “sh*t.”
