Launched in 1997, ‘South Park’ already has 26 seasons and is now an exclusive product of Paramount Plus.
Following the ChatGPT trend, the series created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker has developed its own chapter using AI.
Various companies already have Artificial Intelligence as one of their tools to face an increasingly innovative market.
The artificial intelligence boom has come quite far, so much so that now the animated series ‘South Park’ launched a chapter written with the help of said technology.
Since ‘South Park’ hit the screen, it has been the subject of all kinds of comments and severe criticism due to its content and, above all, the sense of humor that it has managed ever since.
This is precisely what has caused millions of viewers around the world to follow the series since its first chapter, in 1997, until today, which is already in its 26th season and which is available on Paramount Plus.
Throughout the years and the chapters, the series created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker has not stopped to think about the issues it addresses in several of its chapters, making fun of characters like Paris Hilton, Bono (singer of the band U2), Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden and even Pope John Paul II, without any consideration.
In that sense, South Park is, for many, one of the most transgressive series in history and, in these times of the so-called cancellation culture, of course, it has been the subject of all kinds of criticism, but its creators remain under the same line.
Another important fact to note is that the creators of ‘South Park’ have followed what the current conversation dictates to develop their own ideas and in these times of Artificial Intelligence and the use of technologies such as ChatGPT has not been left behind.
Artificial Intelligence writes chapter of ‘South Park’ and this addresses
Undoubtedly, innovation has become one of the most relevant elements of competition between countries: the more innovation there is, in theory, the quality of life will be higher.
Under this framework, we are talking about a moment in history in which it can be said that technology is surpassing us and the use of artificial intelligence is a good example of this, since it is already beginning to be a social problem causing thousands of layoffs in different industries.
However, beyond what can be discussed regarding the use of ChatGPTnow it is ‘South Park’, the series that is in Paramount Plus, which has decided to enter the “game” of artificial intelligence, since one of its new chapters -the 4th- called “Deep Learning” is written, in part, by the ChatGPT.
Even at the end of the credits it is mentioned that the episode was “written by Trey Parker and ChatGPT”, in which the characters discover that they can do their homework through said technology, in addition to “Stan” realizing the popularity of “Clyde” with the girls and discovers that he writes poems also with the ChatGPT.

Undoubtedly, technology continues to advance significantly and, of course, altering people’s lives. Although ChatGPT is in its infancy, we are talking about a technology that already shows worrying overtones and the fact that wanting to develop more effective initiatives might not be so beneficial after all.
