AI is a double-edged technology. On the one hand, we have a tool in constant development and evolution, from the technical aspects to the ethical sphere. On the other hand, taking advantage of the opportunity that it offers us, accelerating the teaching-learning process through innovation, facilitates the possibility of acquiring knowledge in a more agile and efficient way, empowers teachers and students, while meeting the Sustainable Development Goal number 4.
Faced with this panorama of opportunities and implications, there is still much to be explored in education to learn not only the forms of application of AI technologies, but also guidelines for use to address ethical aspects, and above all, the different strategies to take advantage of it in the teaching-learning process. AI is currently integrated into daily activities and the education of young people is no exception, which is why it is the responsibility of educational institutions to continue learning and evaluating its implications and uses.
In the future, AI will continue to amaze; technology will evolve at a greater speed, incorporating into our lives solutions that we still do not suspect. The human being will be challenged not only to develop new technologies, but also to understand and take advantage of them for the benefit of humanity itself. In education, we will have the responsibility of participating in the process of preparing young people to participate in the future development of AI, as well as guiding them in the construction of the context that will allow, from an ethical vision and based on values, to offer new and better tools to improve the quality of life.
