During the last months a rumor that ended up being established with special force about the future launch of the Apple Watch Series 8 is that the guys from Cupertino would finally decide to implement a serious change in its design.
For quite a few generations, Apple’s smartwatch has looked basically the same, but technology in this field of wearables has advanced by leaps and bounds.
That is why an important group of this consumer segment had been vocal and loud enough to make felt the almost urgent need for Apple to give way to a profound renovation in the appearance of this product.
Rumors that began to circulate a few weeks ago suggested that the Apple Watch Series 8 would cost a lot of money in its Pro version, more than an iPhone 14.
But it was also stated that everything would be accompanied by a major change in all aspects, including its design.
Now a new report has emerged that seems to clarify the real magnitude of all these changes with the smart watch.
The Apple Watch Series 8 would look the same as the Series 7 in its basic models
It happens that in the official Twitter account of the informant ShrimpApplePro New and controversial details have been published around the Apple Watch Series 8. Since the subject claims that its design will remain practically unchanged from the current version.
In his publication he speaks specifically to the “base” or standard version of the device, so the possibility then opens up for the Pro version to present some urgent aesthetic improvements:
Design: sadly it’s staying the same as the series 7 with no design improvement.
The base now doesn’t have titanium anymore.
Aluminum: midnight, starlight, product red, silver
Stainless steel: silver and graphite
The source doesn’t notice any new sensors visually sadly 2/3— ShrimpApplePro 🍤 (@VNchocoTaco) August 5, 2022
The reliability record of these informants is relatively mixed, as there have been occasions where their reports are not 100% accurate.
However, due to the other reports from different sources in previous weeks, everything indicates that we would indeed see changes in the Pro model but nothing in the others.
Since last year there has been talk that Apple would be toying with the idea of integrating flat edges into the Apple Watch as is already the case with the iPhone line.
We saw that it did not happen with the Series 7 and many reports pointed out at that time, almost a year ago, that this change would then be implemented with the clock tentatively scheduled to be presented now for the month of September 2022.
Maybe we’ll see flat edges with the Pro model. It’s our best hope for now.
