The Mixed Reality viewer (mix of Virtual and Augmented Reality) Apple Vision Pro Apparently it will delay its market launch for a few months.
And everything indicates that a few problems have arisen inside the Cupertino offices that apparently will completely prevent the device from going on sale within the promised period.
Since August 2023, the first problems surrounding the Apple Vision Pro have been leaking after learning about the supposed life of its battery, with a ridiculously short autonomy for its price.
But now everything indicates that this would not be the biggest point of conflict with the development of the final version for sale to the market of the viewer. So the company would be forced to delay its launch.
Why the Apple Vision Pro would move beyond its market launch date
Apple announced its mixed reality headset in June 2023 with an expected release date of early 2024. However, according to a report by Mark Gurman, an Apple reporter at Bloombergthe company now hopes to launch the device “sometime around March.”
The reason for the delay is unclear, but Gurman speculates it could be due to supply chain issues for mass production or the need for more testing.
In any case, the delay is bad news for Mixed Reality headset enthusiasts, as they will have to wait a little longer to experience Apple’s new device.
The launch of the Apple Vision Pro will initially take place in the United States, followed by other countries later in the year. The device will be available in Apple Stores and online, but will not be sold through third-party resellers.
So it will be a difficult device to obtain, at least in its first generation, outside the territory of the United States.
We are looking at a high-end mixed reality device that has two OLED screens, an M2 processor and an eye tracking system, which justifies its cost of USD $3,499.
But this and other rumors suggest that at least in its first versions the Apple Vision Pro will have large areas of opportunity for improvement.
The delay in the launch of the headset could be a source of disappointment for the company’s fans, but it is a sign that Apple is committed to offering a high-quality product.
