A new blow on the table is about to arrive from Apple TV +. The Cupertino company is working on new attractions for its streaming video service, and could soon announce a big deal with a major filmmaker: Matthew vaughn. The director of movies like Kingsman or Kick-Ass returns with a new spy movie.
As indicated from Deadline, Vaughn would be on the verge of closing a deal with Apple Original Films for “Argylle.” This is his next film, produced by his own MARV label, which will have a cast full of big stars such as Bryce Dallas-Howard or Henry Cavill, and the big screen debut of Dua Lipa.
This agreement, which would not be the first that Matthew Vaughn has reached with Apple after selling the rights to “Tetris”, would have an estimated value of about $ 200 million. A significant price for a single movie, but Apple would already have the intention of transforming it into a franchise.
On the other hand, not only are new movies coming to Apple TV +, but series that have already achieved success are also being renewed. In a press release, Manzana has announced the renewal of «Physical», the comedy-drama starring Rose Byrne. This announcement is given just with the arrival of the end of the season, available from today, August 6.
Still, we continue to see the Apple TV + catalog maturing. A content library that it gains in quantity and quality as the months go by, with samples of all kinds such as the recently arrived second season of “Ted Lasso.” Apple is putting all the meat on the grill to attract all kinds of audiences to its streaming platform.
