This update also allows you to disable movement on FaceTime group calls and includes bug fixes and other improvements. These are all:
Face ID and access code
- The unlock process has been improved on Face ID devices when you wear a mask.
- The code or password window appears automatically after swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen when wearing a face mask.
- It also works when you log in to the App Store, Apple Books, Apple Pay, iTunes, and other apps that support Face ID login.
Exposure notification
- This release activates the Exposure Notification API to allow applications from health authorities to track people infected with COVID-19.
Facetime
- In Settings, there is an option to control automatic zoom in FaceTime group calls so that video tiles do not resize when a participant speaks.
Emergency services
- Option to automatically share health information and other essential information from your medical data with emergency services when you make an emergency call (US only)
This update also includes bug fixes and other improvements
