One of the first announcements from the Apple event is the new iPhone 13 in green. The model, which has been rumored for days, debuted in the online presentation with a small video of just a few seconds.
As this is a color upgrade, the hardware remains intact. Recall that Apple often adds colors to its smartphone lineup at post-announcement events. The most recent example is the purple iPhone 12, which was announced at the Spring Loaded a year ago.
In terms of specifications, this model has an A15 Bionic chip, 5.4-inch (Mini) 6.1-inch (13 and 13 Pro) and 6.7-inch (Pro Max) Super Retina XDR displays. The ceramic and glass body integrates an aluminum frame and a cover that protects from water and dust thanks to its IP68 certification.
One of the most interesting sections of the iPhone 13 is its camera, which includes a larger sensor than its predecessor. Photographs in bright environments exceed what is seen on the iPhone 12, however, the Cinema mode and its support for Dolby Vision HDR are the icing on the cake.
The green variant will be available for pre-sale for iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 Pro models starting Friday, March 7, with a availability scheduled for March 18, 2022. The prices remain the same as the existing versions on the market.
