In April it is the season to present the Annual statement before him Tax Administration Service (SAT)and although there are taxpayers who have a balance in favor when paying their taxes, in addition to being able to request the corresponding refund, there are also those who receive a balance against and must settle the debt.
If at that time, it is difficult for you to pay the debt and you have doubts about whether you can pay the tax in monthly installments, we will solve your doubt here.
SAT, is it possible to pay the balance in monthly installments?
In accordance with the SAT, you can request authorization to pay contributions and/or benefits deferred, up to 12 months, or in installments up to 36 months.
Who has to declare before the SAT?
Not all natural persons in Mexico are responsible for making the Annual statement. These are the taxpayers who must present it:
- Had two or more employers in the last year.
- His income exceeded 400,000 pesos in the last year.
- They received a salary from companies abroad that have no obligation to withhold in Mexico.
- They received compensation or retirement concepts.
- Workers under the fee regime (Professional Services).
- Those who collect rents or made a sale of a property.
- Those who carry out business activities, unless they are taxed under the Fiscal Incorporation Regime.
- Those who obtained real interest income that exceeded 100,000 pesos.
It is a common mistake to think that by receiving a payroll you do not need to declare taxes, although this is not always the case, if you are an employee. However, if you are in any situation of these categories, it is necessary to make the annual declaration:
- You terminated your employment relationship before the last day of the year.
- You got income from two employers at the same time.
- You received other income apart from your salary.
- Your wages came from an employer that does not withhold.
- They gave you workers’ compensation.
