Marc Clusa, CEO & Founder of Neuronix and Head of Corporate Relations at Inleawas present last June 17 at the first edition of the Web 3.0 Congress in Orpesa, Castelló- Spain , speaking together with Xavi Simó president of Inleaof the Digital Future – Analysis and design of the digital transformation from web 2.0 to web 3.0, and has shared an article with Cointelegraph in Spanish commenting on the current situation of the sector and its future prospects.
According to Clusa, many still do not understand the process of digital transformation to access web 3.0, and are still unaware of this transition. “Web 1.0 means write, Web 2.0 means read and write, and Web 3.0 means read, write and own”he clarified.
What is new about Web 3.0 compared to Web 2.0 is the concept of ownership. In this sense, he points out that with new technologies, in addition to being able to read and write, you can now own something “digital”and, therefore, we can sell it whenever we want.
“Actually, until the advent of Web 3.0, we didn’t own digital files if we didn’t create them ourselves. Owners are only those who can prove it through a patent, a registry, before a notary or in court.Clusa said.
However, Clusa recognizes the emergence of the key question, which is: “And how is it that now with Web 3.0 we can own something?”.
According to this, Clusa has explained that to answer the previous question, we need to incorporate the concept of blockchain. “This is where the digital property registry comes in. Blockchain as a technology that allows us to record the transaction in a database in an immutable and secure way, in such a way that it cannot currently be deleted or hacked. That record is public to everyone. Therefore, anyone can consult it”he explained.
That said, the CEO & Founder of Neuronix also pointed out at the end, that with blockchain technology in web 3.0, we can register the ownership of a digital asset in a decentralized way, that is, we do not register the information in a single place, as was the case in web 1.0 and 2.0.
“If we don’t need a single site, we don’t need to go through intermediaries. So another feature that we discovered is that it allows peer-to-peer interaction, that is, from individual to individual. In other words, if I now want to transfer cryptocurrencies to another person, I do it directly and in seconds without the need for an intermediary”Clusa said.
“Therefore, to transition to web 3.0, the first thing we must do is motivate users to use the wallet. The Wallet is the sign of identity, and for this, we must offer them something that encourages them to use them. And the only thing that encourages people to do something is that it’s free or given away like NFTs.”he added.
