Alex Albon has achieved his first victory in the DTM after winning in a resounding way in the second race of the Nürburgring. The AF Corse driver has managed to manage the times in a complex race to impose his law at the controls of the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo in the colors of AlphaTauri. Leaving behind the bad feelings and the problems experienced in previous appointments, Dani Juncadella has finished second with the Mercedes # 7 of GruppeM and he already has his first podium under GT3 regulations in the DTM. The German Marco Wittmann has completed the ‘top 3’ of a really bumpy race.
Alex Albon signed a perfect start to keep the first position against a cautious Dani Juncadella. Behind, Michael Ammermüller did take more risks and that earned him to place third ahead of Marco Wittmann. With little to lose too, Christian Klien managed to roll at times in fifth position, although ultimately Maximilian Götz was ahead of the Austrian under the watchful eye of leader Kelvin Van der Linde.
