Tetra Pak installed a recycling station in Veracruz. With the aim of reducing the amount of solid waste and promoting a culture of collection and recycling of laminated cardboard containers, Tetra Packa leading food processing and packaging company, in collaboration with the Municipality of Veracruz, installed the first multi-material station for the separation of recyclable waste in the Parque Reino Mágico as part of the “Auto Recicla” program. Patricia Lobeira, Municipal President of Veracruz, reported that the multi-material station is made of polyaluminum, a material that is generated from the recycling of post-consumer packaging and is characterized by its long durability, versatility, resistance to climate change and acoustic properties. Alfredo Román, Sustainability Manager for Tetra Pak Mexico, explained that the recycling of laminated cardboard containers has grown in recent years since during 2021 in Mexico 46 thousand 800 tons were recycled, which is equivalent to a recycling rate of 31.7%, an increase of 6.6% compared to 2020 nationally.

Victoria’s Secret & Co. unites its three lines of business. The women’s products firm unveiled a leadership structure under which Victoria’s Secret, Pink and Beauty will operate as “a single collaborative organization, enhancing customer focus and positioning resources toward high-growth, high-performance initiatives.” This will allow the execution of its long-term expansion and growth objectives. Thus, Victoria’s Secret made three high-level appointments and announced the reduction of around 160 management positions, or approximately 5% of its head office staff. In total, the changes are expected to result in a $40 million reduction on an annualized basis beginning in the third quarter of fiscal 2022, with the company taking a $30 million charge in the second quarter.
