Honda Performance Development (HPD) has officially unveiled the new Acura NSX GT3 Evo22, the second update to your GT3 vehicle. With this move, the Japanese firm ensures its presence in the category at least until 2024. While it is true that the new Acura NSX GT3 can arrive in Europe under the Honda logo through JAS Motorsport, the company that would be in charge of its assembly and technical support, the focus of HDP’s GT3 will be in America. In fact, Units destined for the IMSA GDT class or GTWC America will be manufactured directly by HDP and supported by Acura Motorsports.
The Honda NSX GT3 Evo22 will have a competitive life of three years, between 2022 and 2024. Sufficient period of time to pick up the baton of its two predecessors, since the previous versions of the HDP GT3 have accumulated 25 victories between the GTD class of the IMSA and the GTWC America. Although in recent seasons the Acura GT3 has lost prominence, that does not prevent it from being a competitive option. And more will be with the updates it has received in areas such as suspension geometry and engine cooling, as well as the expansion and improvement of other accessories.
John whiteman, director of the commercial division of Honda Performance Development, has been commissioned to act as master of ceremonies at the presentation of the new Acura NSX GT3 Evo22: «We are excited to announce this latest development of the already successful Acura NSX GT3. While the NSX has won top-level races and titles in some of the most prestigious GT3 series in the world, we believe in constantly improving our product. Our great goal is to provide the best material to our clients and technical support to the teams that trust us from Acura Motorsports. “
