A couple of weeks ago it was revealed that one of the new skins of Call of Duty: Warzone she had been accused of plagiarism by an artist known as Sail Lin. Although at the time the company only reacted by erasing the Samoyed suit, a statement was recently issued where Activision accepts their mistake, and they have apologized to Sail Lin.
Recently, it was revealed that a representative from Activision reached out to Sail Lin to offer an apology for this huge mistake. With this, stated that the company will always respect the creativity of artists and their creations. This was what was said about it:
“We have the utmost respect for creativity and content creation. We love the Loyal Samoyed, but sadly we messed up our process and removed this image from the game. We apologize for the misstep.”
Activision has contacted me, and I hope to have a result as soon as possible. Thank you for your concern. https://t.co/cOwlXKdtFt

For his part, Sail Lin issued a message on Twitter, where he confirmed that an Activision representative has contacted the artist. Similarly, thanked the community that provided support in the last few days, and helped his voice reach the ears of the company and Warzone developers. On related topics, we already know when the beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
Editor’s Note:
It is incredible that these types of cases are carried out within Activision. It’s one thing to have a similar idea, but it’s another to have a practically identical design. Although it is unknown what will happen to the artist responsible for creating this controversy, it is likely that his future work will not be so positive.
