The P2P exchange Paxful acknowledged that, based on its experience, It is no longer the big cities and the big capitals that push the adoption of cryptocurrencies. For this company, now there are several small towns and provinces throughout the Latin American region those that are using payments and services based on cryptocurrencies. According to the exchange, the city of Quilmes, in Argentina, is the third with the highest volume of operations in cryptocurrencies in the countryespecially bitcoin, without being one of the main cities.
“The conjunction in Argentina of a population with a high level of training, which has lived for many years with recurrent economic crises and a historical devaluation of its currency resulted in an opportunity that Argentines have not missed by showing a high receptivity to new financial alternatives and greater adherence compared to neighboring countries such as Brazil”, expressed Renata Rodrigues, Global Marketing Manager at Paxful, in a column in the newspaper Perfil.
“What is most surprising is that as the influence of Bitcoin grows in Latin America and in the world, it is possible to perceive how a movement is being consolidated that is not only driven by the capital of large investors; but by much smaller communities. These communities are the ones unlocking the true power of Bitcoin in new and unexpected ways.”, affirmed the specialist.
Paxful rescues that this adoption is explained through the facilities and solutions provided by operations in the cryptographic ecosystem. From the possibility of saving in a non-inflationary currencygoing through low costs and little bureaucracy in sending remittances and to the possibility of receiving collections and making payments without the specific frictions of fiat money. The exchange agrees that the case of Quilmes shows that the use of cryptocurrencies is not exclusive to large investors or citiesbut the utility is focusing on solving financial problems of provinces and towns, with smaller populations and more popular economies.
