The Call of Duty: Warzone gaming community is well aware that since the release of Caldera, Call of Duty: Vanguard weapons have dominated matches in the franchise’s beloved battle royale title. Regarding the weaponry we can say that, the STG44 is still one of the best assault rifles, while the MP40 and Bren have taken over the SMG and LMG classes respectively.
Interestingly enough, WWII weapons are extremely effective in the game right now, but older gear can feel slow compared to some of the more modern weapons found in Warzone. If you’re a gamer who likes to slide around the map and take the fight to opponents, then Warzone expert IceManIsaac has a “full speed” MP5 loadout that’s perfect for you.
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Laser: Tiger Team Projector
- Grip: Bruiser’s Grip
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Ammunition: STANAG 50 Rnd Drum
This build is all about maximizing your movement speed, allowing you to quickly close the gap between yourself and enemy players. Since your enemies will likely be using more cumbersome Vanguard weapons, this might be just what you need to give you the upper hand. Isaac started the load on him with the Agency Suppressor, which offers some much-needed recoil control while also hiding the MP5’s muzzle flash.
Not only does this mean that the Cold War SMG becomes a full laser, it also adds a degree of stealth to the loadout. However, the key to this build lies in the combination of the Tiger Team Spotlight, Raider Stock, and Bruiser Grip. All of these offer huge improvements to both mobility and ADS speed, allowing you to run around Caldera taking out enemies before they even know what hit them.
Ultimately, Isaac opted for the STANAG 50 Rnd Drum, to make sure the gun has a few extra shots in the tank for those especially hectic firefights. In the video of it, IceManIsaac describes this Cold War MP5 compilation as a throwback to his “favorite meta in Warzone history” and claims that he still “hits” in Season 2 on Caldera.
“It’s really cool because I feel really slow and lazy when I use the Vanguard weapons,” Isaac said. “With the MP5, I expand the map and completely melt.” With Vanguard being the most recent Call of Duty release, it’s likely we’ll see Welgun or Automaton continue to dominate the meta for now. However, this MP5 loadout is perfect for anyone looking to try a slightly different style of play in Warzone Season 2.
