Situated in Almagro neighborhoodon Fortuny street Madridthis floor of large dimensions rejuvenates its classic workmanship and elements, which are part of its DNA, thanks to the work of the As Interiorista studio, which has managed to integrate the past of this home and the pieces of great sentimental value of its owners, with a current and sophisticated style.
The biggest challenge of this renovation was precisely to give a current and fresh finish to a flat as classic as this one. To achieve this, the team AS Interior Designer resorted to a very careful selection of materials, custom-made furniture and a very personal chromatic bet.
The boiseries and wood carpentry that lined the dining room, have been painted in this reform of an intense blue, lightening its weight, and creating a more contemporary atmosphere.
The past and the present coexist in this living room and dining room in a balanced way.
In the living room, the walls of moldings include avant-garde paintings and in the dining room the chandelier and the original bookcase are recovered on a light table and modern chairs. In a living room environment they even dare with a very “Very Peri” sofa.
The mix of patterns and colors takes weight away from the more classic elements and results in a spectacular space in which attention is shared between the different styles and colors.
The most contemporary space in the kitchen
The space reserved for modernity is undoubtedly the kitchen. With straight lines and very current, with furniture in taupe and wood, the black of the ceiling of the showcases give it an industrial but very current air.
The central space is occupied by a large island with dining area stuck to it. The blue chairs are a nod to the color that dominates the rest of the house.
An elegant bedroom that invites you to rest
in the bedroom iThe protagonists are the textiles in a complete range of blues. The large rug that comprises the bed has a pattern in different blues. The custom headboard and curtains also have navy accents. The textiles and the gilding of the lamp and the bench at the foot of the bed help create a contemporary classic atmosphere.
A retro-inspired bathroom
In the bathroom they have opted for gold and once again the most classic elements such as the marble of the sink or the old wall light are mixed with the very modern wallpaper with gold motifs.
