A security measure becomes a threat to an Apple Store employee!
The reopening of the Apple Store this year in most of the world, was accompanied by various security measures, aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19. And although in most stores the protocols had worked normally, this week one of the measures caused a dispute that ended with a security guard stabbed at the Apple Store in New York.
The incident broke out after one of the security guards at the store, located on Manhattan West 14th Street, will ask one of the visitors to use the mask before entering the premises. The request caused a violent reaction from the client, who attacked the guard causing injuries to his arm and head.

According to reports cited from iMore, a witness described “screaming and people pushing and shoving”, and said they saw the guard being carried out on a stretcher by two paramedics followed by five or six policemen. Fortunately, the guard’s injuries were not deep and their health was not seriously compromised. The report also says that the suspect fled the scene.
Currently, in most Apple stores, customers can enter with walk-in availability, but require face masks to enter, as clarified by Apple on its official site:
“We are open and look forward to welcoming you. Shop by walking, booking a one-on-one with a specialist or buy online and pick up in store. Get support at the Genius Bar in store or by making a reservation. Face masks are required. If you need one, ask. “
The unfortunate incident was captured by store security cameras and surroundings, for which it is likely that the police can follow any of these clues until you find the suspect.
