We all take for granted that the event this coming Monday will be about Macs. The truth is that the rumors, apart from the appearance of the AirPods 3, do not speak of anything else, although to be exact the only clue we have of its renewal comes from the stock of the current models in different stores.
A stock that decreases just before the event
The stock of current 16-inch MacBook Pro seems to be really low in various stores. This is reflected in long delivery times and the inability to schedule a store pickup at many Apple Stores.
It is clear that the stock levels could be explained due to the difficulties that are having in the supply chain, certainly. Back in April, Tim Cook alerted us to this. Although it is also clear that the coincidence between the dates leads us to more interesting conclusions.
Expect 16-inch MacBook Pros current disappear after the presentation of the new versions with M1X processors. Something that we already saw after the launch of the 13-inch MacBook Pros today about a year ago.
Given the above, presumably the supply chain is already working at full speed to produce as many of the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros as possible. Some computers that, although they arrive a year after we saw the first with M1, are generating a lot of interest, especially among the most professional users.
