A historical X-Men villain returns to the most recent pages of Marvel.
The X Men they have always encountered great threats that they have had to face. The villains of this group can be counted by hundreds and it is normal for them to change to offer new and fresh stories to prevent them from falling into monotony. Now, a forgotten villain who was a big problem for the X Men has returned to the most recent comics published by the House of Ideas.
The classic villain of X Men, Erik the Red**, who appeared in the historical comic series known as phoenix sagahas returned to the pages of Marvel Comics in the latest volume of Marauders. After uncovering a clue to a mutant secret dating back to ancient times, Captain Kate Pryde and his Marauders travel to space Shi’arwhere they will have to face the brutal Erik the Red.

Erik the Red, whose real name is David Shakari and who also calls himself Eric the Red, was introduced in the comic series about the X Men led by the great Chris Claremont within Uncanny X-Men as the main antagonist of the X Men and of the then princess Lilandra, Professor Xavier’s mistress and heiress who was to occupy the Shi’ar throne. Shakari was the right hand of the emperor Shi’ar D’Ken and followed his orders by traveling to Earth with the aim of killing the same Xavier and prevent that Lilandra get the help you need from the X Men to defeat the tyrannical D’Ken.
Now, the villain is back and we will discover more details and information about his history and origin that led him to become the deadly and evil villain that he really is. At first it was always thought that Erik the Red had died many years ago, in a fight that also included the Captain Mar-Vell Y Adam Xthe lost son of Emperor D’Ken. However, it is now known that he has actually been hiding, waiting for the next time he is needed by the Shi’ar Empire and claim what is yours.
