During the past MWC, Sony took the opportunity to renew its mobile phone catalog with a new high-end model, the Xperia 1, and two mid-range terminals, the Xperia 10 and the Xperia 10 Plus, all of them with an innovative ultra-dynamic display of 21: 9 format.
A new edition of IFA will be held next week and everything suggests that the Japanese manufacturer will present new terminals. However, while some renders and several details of the possible Xperia 20 have transcended, nothing has been said about the Xperia 2. So far, because the Xperiablog website has published what appear to be the first images of the future flagship of Sony
The camera moves to the left
As can be seen in the images, the new Xperia 2 would retain that elongated 21: 9 aspect ratio screen that characterized its predecessor, rounded corners and the triple rear camera aligned vertically with the double flash above. However, unlike the Xperia 1, the module with the three sensors would now be located in the upper left area of the back.
If you look at the front, although the photos are of poor quality, you can see the upper and lower bezels, as well as a single front camera to the left of the speaker. As for the side frames, it seems that the Xperia 2 will retain the dedicated camera button (with the fingerprint reader integrated, probably), the volume control and the power button on the right, while the left would remain completely free of buttons.
Unfortunately, the filtering of the photos is not accompanied by more information and, as we said at the beginning, there are still no rumors about its possible specifications, so we will have to wait to learn more details of the successor of the Xperia 1 (including whether or not it will be available 5G connection). Maybe next week, within the framework of IFA 2019, let’s get out of doubt.
