A couple of months ago, the beta version of WhatsApp revamped the voice memo player with a more visual design where you could preview the voice waves of the message before playing it. This redesign disappeared in successive updates, but WaBetaInfo He has discovered that he is still on the way, and correcting his main problem.
The previous test of this redesign of the voice memo player lost an important functionality: playback could not be advanced to a specific point. Fortunately, this will be fixed before this new player reaches users in a future beta.
New voice notes and with all its functionality
WhatsApp is applying a fresh coat of paint to the app’s voice memos, starting with its beta version as always. In addition to completely renewing the experience when recording voice messages, allowing you to listen to messages before sending them and with a new design, it also prepares player renewal of voice messages.
We already knew about this new player and, in fact, it was possible to test it in the WhatsApp beta, although for a short time. As it came, it left, and since then WhatsApp has returned to the classic player. One possible cause of this regression is that the new version was missing something important: you could not jump to a specific point in the recording, always started from the beginning.
Luckily, this seems to be fixed in the next version, as reported by WaBetaInfo. The new player will have the design with the waves of the message and, now, you can adjust the playback from one point to another by sliding finger sideways, just like the built-in player in the new recorder works.

If all goes well, we should see this new voice memo player again in some future version update. WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS in the future. Considering that it seems to be ready and with the functionality now complete, it would be expected that it would not take long to appear.
Already in beta: news when reporting chats
Another change for which we will not have to wait, since it is already active in the beta versions is the new message when reporting a chat. The novelty is that the message that appears specifies that the last five messages will be sent from that person to WhatsApp along with the complaint
Before the last beta, the message that was displayed indicated that it would be “the most recent messages”, without specifying how many exactly. It is not clear how many messages were sent before, and neither does WhatsApp specify in its FAQ.
