He finally ran away with no money, that’s what happens to Sonic for going solo without Tails and Knuckles
Last Wednesday, February 2, An armed guy tried to rob a bank in DeLand, Florida.. Fortunately, everything went well, there were no injuries and the thief left without a penny, although the most curious thing about this event is that the criminal he was disguised with a sonic mask not to be recognized.
As reported by the West Bolusian Beacon (via Kotaku), on February 2, a man disguised in a Sonic mask and armed with a hammer attempted to rob the Florida Credit Union bank in DeLand, Florida. According to witnesses, the attacker demanded money from one of the bank tellers and began to hit the security cabinet repeatedly with the hammer that separates bank staff from customers. Another of the bank employees confronted the assailant and managed to get him to flee before the police arrived.
“Everyone is safe, nothing was taken, and the local police are aware of it,” Brian Leatherman, one of the directors of the bank branch, explained to the press. For the moment, the police have not been able to find the suspect who fled the scene on foot, but is still investigating the case.
“Kotaku reached out to Sonic the Hedgehog’s representative and agent for comment on the situation and to confirm where the little speedster was on February 2, 2022,” Kotaku jokes. “Sonic hasn’t responded, probably because he’s a fictional character. of a video game and not a real living being. Probably.”
Beyond the joke, luckily, there are no injuries in this incident. Thanks to Hollywood, wearing a mask to rob a bank became popular, but the truth is that nowadays it doesn’t seem like a good idea. Neither about robbing a bank, nor about dressing up with a mask for it. Also, a Sonic mask, seriously? Wasn’t there another mask that drew more attention? Let’s hope this scene doesn’t appear in Sonic 2, the movie, or his next video game, Sonic Frontiers.
